5,000 People Stand in Washington's Rally Against Abortion
January 23, 2018Over 5,000 people stood tall infront of the state Capitol in in a rally against abortion called Washington's March for Life. Many are against institutions like Planned Parenthood that encourage abortion especially amongst tennagers who have premature pregnancy. This year in 2018 was the organized protest 40th annual anniversary sice the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court case that legalized abortion in 1973. There were others that voiced there opinion at the rally in favor to keep access to abortion as an option. The opposers were taken over by thousands of anti-abortion advocates. Republican officials spoke at the march. The protest organizer is President Noreen McEntee Hobson. Thousands gathered together infront of the Legislative Building in Olympia.

The Rally also discussed two legislations that needed to be changed. The first legislatiin was that an employer does nit have a right to deny free contraceptives. The second option is for all medical expenses should be paid by the government for low-income women. Democrats behind the idea with the two legislations being modified would grant permissions for women to have rights over there bodies. However, the Repulican House Senate are against any idea that would take away human life. President Donald Trumph is in support against abortion. The hearing from both parties on both legislations is on Monday.
