#MLK Day Celebration in Honor of Martin Luther King Jr.
January 15, 2018
Martin Luther King Jr. was an American Baptist Pastor and prominent activist of Civil Rights Movement. He mingled amongst great leaders including Mahatma Ghandi. In his last days, Sir King gave a profound speech called "I Have A Dream." Kings speech painted the vision for the people stating "I have a dream that one day we will not be judged by the color of our skin but by the content of our character." Martin Luther King Day was created to honor him and his vision from the "I Have A Dream" speech. King was assasinated on April 4th, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee. Many speculated that a hit man was sent by secret organizations who despised his vision or that were against the Civil Rights Movement agenda. King was revered as one of the most influential leaders of the world because he had created a foundation for civil rights to prevail for minorities and for the people.
